Website number swapping

Install the supplied website snippet, size a number pool, and verify mobile phone links and attribution.

Prepare the pool

  1. Open Number swapping

Select the intended account and create or open a pool of tracking numbers. Choose the website, the existing numbers to replace, and the phone that receives calls.

  2. Use the generated installation snippet

Copy the snippet supplied by the application to the intended website. Keep account API keys out of browser scripts. Use the generated public installation values, not a guessed endpoint.

  3. Keep a working fallback

Your ordinary business number should remain usable when the script does not load or the pool cannot assign a number.

A pool-sizing example

Illustrative planning example: 12 simultaneous attributed visitors can need 12 distinct number leases. Daily visitor count is not the same as concurrent demand. Allow for the actual lease duration and bursts; inspect assignment behavior before purchasing extra numbers. This is a planning example, not a guaranteed pool-size recommendation.

Verify in a fresh visit

  1. Open a tagged campaign URL

Use a fresh browser session and a campaign URL with your agreed source labels. Check that the visible number changes.

  2. Test the tap-to-call link

At mobile width, inspect and tap the phone link intentionally. The destination in the link must match the displayed tracking number.

  3. Review the test call

Confirm campaign and visit information in the same account. Missing click or keyword information should remain unknown rather than being guessed.
